After your surgery, you will be taken to the post-anesthesia care unit, or PACU. It is normal to feel ill, confused, or have trouble remembering things while you are recovering from anesthesia. Specialized recovery nurses will assess your condition and continuously monitor you until you are ready to discharge and go home. If you are staying with us overnight, you will be moved to your room in our Patient Care Unit.
